who I work with:

I help young adults, new parents and hard-working professionals who are feeling overwhelmed and disconnected to take back your power so you can get some relief and balance back into your life. Maybe you are having trouble being vulnerable, connecting meaningfully with others, or having your needs met in relationships. Many of my clients experience anxiety and/or depression, and some of my clients experience grief after a loss and are looking for extra support.

If you are a parent or expectant parent, you want the best for yourself and your family. You might be struggling to adjust to your new life while pregnant or with your baby, while coping with emotional and physical changes such as postpartum anxiety or depression. Parenting can be challenging! If any of this sounds like you, it might be time to reach out for extra support.

how therapy can help you:

I want to know what aspects of your life you feel are most problematic and out of control so you can find healthy solutions for living. Building upon the strengths that you already have, and through our connection together, we can identify your needs, manage difficult emotions, find ways to connect better with your child(ren) and family, learn healthier coping skills, and be the parent you'd like to be. Asking for help is hard but what you have to gain can be profound. Therapy can offer you a safe place to express your emotions, to process what has been lost, and discover what is possible. You don’t have to suffer or heal on your own.

about me:

I am a strong advocate for social justice and embrace diversity and respect individual differences. This motivates me to provide services with cultural and social awareness and sensitivity. I have worked with individuals of all ages in many settings including community-based mental health agencies, education, inpatient and outpatient medical settings, hospice, and organizations for individuals with disabilities. I use a holistic, individualized approach to better understand who you are and what you need to achieve your goals. I have also completed specialized training in perinatal mental health, among other specialty areas. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, trying different cuisines, working on my veggie garden in the summer, and traveling.

Fun Fact:  I love to learn and one hobby that I’ve been working on the past few years is how to grow a variety of new fruits, vegetables, and flowers in my garden over the summer!
