What to expect from the Relationship PRocess Group:

Small Groups:

Your Relationship Process Group will be small, up to 6 people per group. This is so you can get the most out of your group experience. A small group also gives you a chance to seek out feedback about how to change your relationship patterns.

Closed Group:

We want you to connect in meaningful ways to your other group members. So, the Relationship Process Group is not designed as a drop-in group. You will see the same people in your group from week to week.

meets weekly:

The Relationship Process Group meets weekly for 10 weeks. It is a big commitment to attend a weekly group, we know. So after 10 weeks if you're still wanting more self-growth around your relationships, you are welcome to join our next group session.

Process group:

A process group means that deeper relationship healing can occur more quickly than say, in individual counseling or a support group. Our Relationship Process Group helps to make that happen by focusing on the relationships among the participants in your group. When you show up in a group, it's likely that you repeat your past relationship patterns. A Relationship Process Group offers you a safe place to try new ways of interacting in relationships

Online Group:

We know you have a busy schedule, and that is why the Relationship Process Group is an online group. So, you will be sent a login link the day of your group session and all you need to do to join is to click the link. Online groups offer the flexibility you need while cutting down on your commute time. Please ensure you have a safe and confidential space to join the group session.

Still Unsure about our Relationship PRocess Group?

It may seem odd to do group counseling for relationship concerns. And we get it, groups can be intimidating! Just the thought of opening up to a bunch of people you don't know can also be anxiety-provoking. But we guarantee that you are not the only one feeling like this. Every other person in the group is also nervous to get started and meet others in the group. Because of that, we talk about our anxiety in the group itself, which is one way to promote connections between group members.

The Relationship Process Group is an interpersonal process group, a specific type of group that yields significant results in your self-awareness, personal growth and relationship development. Research shows that group counseling for relationships is highly effective. We love groups so much, we even wrote a blog about it to help demystify the group experience: What is Group Therapy Like For You?

If you're still unsure and have more questions about our Relationship Process Group, you can also contact us for a free 20 minute phone consultation. Our Scheduling Coordinator can answer any questions you have about this group and determine if this group will be the best fit for you, or if individual counseling may also be recommended

We love groups for relationship concerns here at Catalyss Counseling. Whether you're concerned about your past relationship patterns, you get tongue-tied in group situations, or are wondering how to open up and connect more with others, this group has you covered. Other benefits of the Relationship Process Group include not feeling so alone and isolated, understanding how anxiety and depression may affect you showing up in your relationships, and offering a safe place to express your feelings. Yes, groups can be challenging. But we know you can do it, why not try it today!
