What to expect from an Ecotherapy Anxiety Group:

Small Groups:

Your Ecotherapy Anxiety Group will be small, up to 6 people per group. This is so you can get the most out of your group experience. A small group also gives you a chance to build connections to yourself, others, and the world.

Closed Group:

The Ecotherapy Anxiety Support Group is not designed as a drop-in group.  Every week you will see the same group members in your group. We believe this helps to facilitate more meaningful connections amongst members, which helps you feel less alone.

The Ecotherapy Anxiety Group meets at different locations:

We know it is a big commitment to attend a group that meets at different locations, but we also believe this format will help you feel more connected to your body and the world around you. We ask that group members commit to attending all three groups, to get comfortable and have an opportunity to explore the connection between mind, body, and earth. If you decide the group is not a fit, we are happy to help you find a more appropriate option.

in person Group:

As this group is focused on developing connections, the group will meet in-person in order to get the most benefits and foster the strongest sense of cohesion. If you are interested in the group, but are unable to attend in person, please still reach out as we may offer virtual groups in the future.

Still unsure about our Ecotherapy Anxiety Group?

We get it, groups can be intimidating! Just the thought of opening up to a bunch of people you don't know can also be anxiety-provoking. But we guarantee that you are not the only one feeling like this. Every other person in the group is also nervous to get started and meet others in the group. Because of that, we talk about our anxiety in the group itself, which is one way to promote connections between group members.

The Ecotherapy Anxiety Group is a somatic-based support group, a specific type of group that yields significant results in your anxiety, social skills, and the connection between your mind and body. Research shows that group counseling for anxiety is highly effective. We believe in this group so much that we even wrote an article specifically about the benefits of group counselingThe Surprising Benefits of Group Therapy.
