who I work with:

I help couples and adults who are navigating relationship issues, break-ups, or anxiety to reduce stress, work through grief or trauma, and heal so they can  grow and move into a new chapter with confidence.

You may be used to solving problems and staying on top of things on your own. You've been successful at work and life, but now you're going through a big transition and feel at a standstill. Maybe you’re going through a breakup, a divorce, or struggling with relationship conflicts. You might even be slowing down in your life and re-evaluating what is important.

Trying to make sense of a path or a relationship that’s become toxic or facing the emotional toll of a partner’s alcohol use or mental health issues can be draining. You may feel unheard, misunderstood, or disconnected—like the very things that once worked for you or your relationship are now weighing you down. Whether you’re feeling stuck in a cycle of repeated arguments, overwhelmed with work or family stress, or struggling with trust and communication, therapy can help you sort through the noise and move forward.

If you're looking for space to reflect, to slow down, and to figure out what comes next in life or love, I can help.

how therapy with me can help you:

Therapy with me is about forward motion. Whether you're in a partnership or going it alone, we'll focus on practical, strengths-based strategies that lead to meaningful change. In our sessions, we will explore your priorities and values in order to figure out how you can move forward. The goal being to realign you with what makes you happy. In our sessions together, you will feel heard and supported. With me you will find a culturally-informed and affirming space that is safe for everyone.

If you’re here for couples or relationship work, we’ll tackle the tough stuff. From trust, values, emotional disconnection, unhealthy dynamics to how alcohol, ADHD, or unresolved wounds that are affecting your current situation. I’ll help you repair what’s broken, maybe even rebuild something entirely new by deepening your insight and giving you tools that work.

about me:

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor, I have worked in the Denver-Metro area for over 34 years in a variety of settings including community-based mental health and substance abuse treatment agencies, and outpatient settings. Specializing in couples and relationship therapy, I am trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and often pull from other theoretical perspectives in my couples work. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), certified in Dialectical Behavioral Treatment (DBT), and utilize Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy as additional approaches.

My wife and I love traveling, especially to Europe, learning about the evolution of Western Civilization and philosophy.  We are intensely curious people, and we have benefited from understanding how others live around the world through the centuries - all of which contributes to how I work with people. I enjoy walking my dogs, hiking, golf, and spending time with family, including my adult children, and friends.
