who I work with:
I work with high-achieving individuals and couples who are navigating the stress of modern life and relationships. For couples, whether you’re feeling stuck in a cycle of repeated arguments, dealing with cultural differences, ADHD-related concerns, or struggling with trust and communication, therapy can help you sort through the noise and move forward.
Maybe you’re going through a breakup or divorce, or your relationship feels unhealthy, even painful. Normally, you are used to solving problems and staying on top of things on your own. You've been successful at work and life, but now you're going through a big transition and feel at a standstill. You might be slowing down in your life, trying to make sense of a relationship that’s become toxic, or facing the emotional toll of a partner’s alcohol use or mental health issues.
You may feel unheard, misunderstood, or disconnected—like the very things that once worked for you or your relationship are now weighing you down. If you're looking for space to reflect, to slow down, and to figure out what comes next in life or love, I can help.
how therapy with me can help you:
Therapy with me is about forward motion. Whether you're in a partnership or going it alone, we'll focus on practical, strengths-based strategies that lead to meaningful change. In our sessions, we will explore your priorities and values in order to figure out how you can slow down and reassess your life. The ultimate goal being to realign with what makes you happy.
If you’re here for couples or relationship work, we’ll tackle the tough stuff. From trust, values, emotional disconnection, unhealthy dynamics to how alcohol, ADHD, or unresolved pain are affecting your current situation. I’ll help you repair what’s broken—maybe even rebuild something entirely new—by deepening your insight and giving you tools that work.
Together, we’ll create space for you to feel heard, supported, and empowered. Whether that’s in your relationship with a partner or your relationship with yourself.
about me:
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor, I have worked in the Denver-Metro area for over 34 years in a variety of settings including community-based mental health and substance abuse treatment agencies, and outpatient settings. Specializing in couples and relationship therapy, I am trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), certified in Dialectical Behavioral Treatment (DBT), and utilize Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy as additional approaches.
My wife and I love traveling, especially to Europe, learning about the evolution of Western Civilization and philosophy. We are intensely curious people, and we have benefited from understanding how others live around the world through the centuries - all of which contributes to how I work with people. I enjoy walking my dogs, hiking, golf, and spending time with family, including my adult children, and friends.
