who I work with:
I help adults with ADHD, men, and healthcare workers with anxiety to develop healthy coping skills so you can better manage your work, stress, and important relationships to regain balance in your life.
Being dedicated to your job, you are straining under the weight of mounting pressure from people that don’t understand your daily struggles or difficulty focusing. You might be finding that those in your personal life have high expectations of you and the demands are fast becoming overwhelming. Yearning for the stability of the past, and you’re realizing that coping with panic, negative self-thoughts, and communication problems are an everyday struggle.
When you aren’t working, you ruminate about how you can’t improve your relationships or establish intimate connections. Your exhaustion causes you to rarely engage in social activities and your free time is spent isolated at home. Even the simplest tasks have become difficult to manage and it is hard to think beyond the next day - that’s the hopelessness talking.
If you have always relied upon yourself and have never had a healthy support system, symptoms from your ADHD and anxiety may be getting worse. Perhaps you are running out of answers on how to find balance in your work and personal life. Finally, now you are ready to try therapy. I can help! I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and supportive.
how therapy with me can help you:
Therapy with me is a partnership where we explore your core values and apply them to your everyday experiences to achieve your therapy goals. I’ll have you process through your memories and dreams, while using your strengths that you forgot you have to start making lasting change in the here-and-now. To start, I’ll carry the hope for change for you, until you are able to take that over yourself.
I can help you develop your self-confidence and manage your struggles so that you can truly enjoy your accomplishments. You will find your true potential while developing the skills you need to establish healthy boundaries in your relationships, manage your demands at work, and pursue the standard of living you’ve always wanted for yourself. Developing strategies to manage your anxiety, focus your mind, and alleviate your self-doubt are important aspects of therapy with me. Every step forward is productive and intentional!
about me:
I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health program at Naropa University concentrating in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling. My emphasis on providing a person-centered approach is gleaned from my own healing journey as an individual in recovery with ADHD who has greatly benefitted from therapy for depression and anxiety. I have experience in the helping professions as a former phlebotomist and nurse extern and worked in careers in the arts and construction. I know what it is like to be immersed in a busy job and struggle with making time for self-development and attending to the needs of my loved ones. My education, work experiences, and personal healing journey has helped me reformat my life and I thrive in helping others realize their own potential.
Having completed an undergraduate degree in New Zealand, I have long had a love for traveling and immersing myself in cultures and perspectives different from my own. I learn the most about myself by stepping out of my comfort zone and pursuing novel experiences. My wife and I both have a love for the outdoors and adventure. During the colder months you can find me skiing or taking long nighttime walks on a snow-covered trail. During the warmer seasons I enjoy pursuing my talents as an amateur marble carver and going on alpine hikes with my wife. I am fascinated with world history and love to read. I also enjoy chess, billiards, visiting museums, and live music. My idea of a relaxing evening is gazing into a ampfire with family or kicking back with a good book, my cat Kizzy in my lap, and my wife reading beside me.
