What is a Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?
An Employee Assistance Program or EAP is designed to offer confidential and short-term counseling and support services to help employees manage personal and professional challenges. These issues could impact their job performance, mental health, or overall well-being. Employee Assistance Programs are often included in a company’s benefits package and can play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment.

At Catalyss Counseling, we believe EAPs should be more than a low-cost checkbox benefit that employees rarely use. National EAPs often look good on paper, but in reality, only a few employees ever access them, and when they do they may face long waitlists or meet with a provider they’ll never see again.
We’re changing that model.
We designed our EAP with our local community in mind. Simple, confidential, and built to actually improve employee well-being. Instead of focusing on scale, we focus on accessibility, relationships, and results.
Why We’re Different from National EAP Providers
Traditional national EAPs are set up for large corporations and insurance networks. They’re inexpensive for employers, but the tradeoff is that employees often:
-
Get connected to a call center instead of a local therapist.
-
Wait weeks for an appointment.
-
Work with a provider they may never see again.
-
Don’t feel safe using the service, fearing lack of confidentiality.
Our EAP was built intentionally to solve these problems. We are an Englewood, Colorado based counseling practice that offers employees direct access to compassionate therapists. Sessions with us are easy to schedule and actually get used.
When employees feel safe and supported, utilization goes up and that means the investment you make as an employer actually pays off.

Why Employers Choose Catalyss Counseling for EAP
We designed this program with small to mid-sized businesses in mind. Many of these organizations want to support their teams, but don’t have the resources or infrastructure to offer the kind of benefits that larger corporations do.
Our EAP offers an accessible, community-based solution that:
-
Protects confidentiality → Employees are more likely to use a benefit when they trust that their privacy will be protected.
-
Keeps things simple → An annual estimated charge with monthly payments are easy to understand, budget for, and manage.
-
Provides local access → Your employees won’t be routed through a call center. They’ll connect with trusted therapists who want to support them.
-
Delivers impact → Because our model is designed for higher engagement, you’ll see real outcomes, not just an unused line item on your HR benefits report.

Investing in employee mental health isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s also a smart business decision.
-
Retention → Replacing one employee can cost more than just their salary when you account for lost productivity, hiring, and training. Supporting employee well-being reduces turnover and keeps your team stable.
-
Productivity → Employees who feel supported take fewer sick days, perform better, and contribute more to the workplace.
-
Workplace Culture → Offering counseling communicates that you value your employees as people. This builds trust, loyalty, and morale. Employees who feel cared for are more engaged and more likely to stay.
For small to medium sized businesses, even one or two employees leaving due to burnout can have a big impact. Our EAP helps protect your most valuable asset: your people.
We believe EAPs should be more than a checkbox. Catalyss Counseling is redefining what employee assistance looks like. Our goal is to change the national EAP model by offering a program that is rooted in the local community, prioritizes employee well-being, and actually gets used. Instead of impersonal hotlines and low engagement, we are building a model where employees have real access to care and employers see real results.
