  • Define what it means to be an anti-oppression therapist

  • See where traditional therapy modalities don't meet the needs of LGB clients

  • Examine your own internal biases

  • Begin to explore liberatory counseling

Although this training will be recorded for future viewing, you will get best results if you attend the LIVE and INTERACTIVE training, including:
  • The opportunity to ask questions and get feedback about your workplace or practice.

Dena Omar, LCSW, Anti-Oppression Consultant

Hi! I’m Dena Omar (they/them), an LCSW, clinical supervisor, Anti-Oppressive Consultant, and a PhD student in Depth Psychology with an emphasis on Community, Liberation, Indigenous, and Eco-Psychologies. I’m a queer, Muslim, non-binary, Arab American, over-thinker who lives on the stolen, unceded lands of the Tohono O’odham (Tucson, AZ). I’m on a mission to dismantle white supremacy and to create a revolution of anti-oppression therapists who change the definition of what it means to do “culturally competent” therapy.
