who I work with:

I help men, parents, and adults in helping professions navigate anxiety, grief, and life changes, so you can stop “surviving” and start finding real relief, restful sleep, and a sense of yourself again.

The people who rely on you see you as the rock, the anchor, the dependable one, but you don’t feel that way. You want to feel like the person they see you as. Privately, you may feel anxious and worry if you are strong enough, if you are doing things right or even can support the people around you. Asking for help feels like burdening someone else or admitting that you should be able to manage on your own; a feeling that many parents, teachers, helping professionals, and caregivers often struggle with. This leads to you feeling like you are caring for everyone else, but you are getting left behind.

You may be neurodivergent yourself, with ADHD, autism, or both (AuDHD), or you may be parenting a neurodivergent child. Trying to meet expectations that do not fit how you or your child experience the world can leave you feeling exhausted, misunderstood, or unsure what support is actually needed.

You used to trust that you knew who you were and could handle what life put in front of you, but now you cannot stop worrying, doubting yourself, or feeling guilt or shame. You want to understand why this feels so hard, respond to yourself with more grace and less self-judgment, and find steadier ground without having to carry everything alone.

how therapy with me can help you:

Anxiety, grief, and life events can make your experiences feel overwhelming and confusing. Those moments are where I can help. Our work is not about taking away the caring, dependable parts of you or asking you to stop showing up for others; it is about giving you room to slow things down, making sense of what you have been feeling, and understanding your experiences. Together we can explore what shapes how you respond to your life changes. You will stay in control of the process and we will move at a pace that respects how you think, communicate, and experience the world.

Through therapy, you can develop a firmer grasp of who you are and a better understanding of where you came from. Over time, you may begin to find perspective and relief, sleep more easily, and respond differently when your mind races. We can work on asking for support without seeing it as failure, and deciding what is truly yours to carry. You can feel more secure and self-assured, while honoring the caring and dependable parts of yourself without feeling so alone. We will make more room for peace, connection, joy, and even laughter in your life again.

about me:

After 16 years in public education, I have seen how much people can carry while still showing up for others. The moments that stayed with me most were the ones when I could sit side-by-side with students, families, and educators during difficult or uncertain times in their lives. My work in education has also shown me how easy it is for people to feel misunderstood when how they think, communicate, learn, or experience the world does not fit the expectations around them. Those experiences shape the way I support people.

Currently, I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Northern Colorado and am completing my internship. I believe we are multifaceted beings, and that our social, emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and career identities all inform our mental well-being. Because of that, I try to understand the whole person, not just the issue that brought you to therapy.

Outside of counseling, my wife and I love the outdoors, community events, games, literature, and film. We have lived all over Colorado, in different small towns and big cities. Those experiences have helped me appreciate the multitude of ways people build connection, make meaning, and create community.
