who I work with:
I help adults with anxiety, trauma, addictions, and relationship challenges to improve your self-esteem and manage your emotions so you can create a more fulfilling life for yourself.
If you’re constantly feeling anxious, emotionally drained, or unsure of how to manage the burdens you’re carrying, you may be searching for a change. Past trauma or painful experiences may be impacting how you view yourself and how you’re connecting with others. This can cause unhealthy coping skills that start to cause major issues. In your relationships, you might notice communication patterns that leave you feeling exhausted, hurt, or just unsure of how to set better boundaries. You want to prioritize your own needs while trying your best to juggle the needs of everyone else, but are unsure how.
Perhaps you find yourself experiencing a major change in your life or are struggling with self-confidence and feeling disconnected from who you are and what matters most. Trying to cope with the stress and overwhelming emotions that come with these challenges have led you to turn to alcohol, self-isolation, or simply shutting down emotionally. You’re feeling like it’s time for a new outlook on your life, so that you can start leading a life that feels meaningful and more aligned with who you are. I can help.
how therapy with me can help you:
Therapy with me is a time to slow things down, sort through what’s been weighing on you, and begin finding ways to feel more connected in your life. We’ll work on easing your anxiety, depression, burnout, substance or alcohol use, and emotional overwhelm. You can expect to learn and integrate healthy coping skills and tools to help regulate your moods, lighten your mental and emotional load, and build better practices to cope with stress.
We may also focus on better understanding and shifting relationship patterns in your life that leave you feeling frustrated or disconnected. Together, we can strengthen your boundaries to build more supportive relationships. A big part of our work can also include re-building your self esteem and confidence by exploring your identity. Our ultimate goal being to reconnect with who you are outside of the expectations or labels others have placed on you.

about me:
I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Regis University and have over six years of experience working in community mental health and outpatient settings as a certified addiction counselor. My work has focused on walking alongside individuals navigating emotional and relational concerns, substance use struggles, and other complex life experiences. I utilize evidence-based strategies, specifically DBT and ACT in my therapy work, in addition to a holistic person-centered approach. This includes mindfulness and grounding practices that support you in reconnecting with your body, mind and spirit.
When I’m not with clients, you can usually find me somewhere outside, hiking or birdwatching, practicing yoga, traveling, enjoying live music, or spending time with my pup, Margo. Connection to nature, mindfulness, movement, and community have played an important role in my own healing and continue to influence how I approach supporting others in their own growth and well-being.
